As I sit down to write the Libra Sun sits at 11 degrees. We are just beginning to steep in the harmonious energy of this lovely Sun sign. The leaves are beginning to fall here in Brooklyn. The temperature has dropped a bit and the conversation on the table is,
“What and Who do I want to partner with?”
Libra invites partnership. Its ruling planet Venus is the planet of beauty, arts, and love. Its house, traditionally the 7th house, is opposite our 1st house (Individual self), representing the places in our life where we intimately partner with others.
When I imagine Venus walking into a room I imagine her shifting the space to the most feng shui of situations. Everything she touches shifts slightly to provide more of an aesthetic experience for herself and everyone else in that room. If plants are dry, she brings water. If the floors are dirty, she wipes them clean. If the air is stifled she opens a window. She creates an energetic flow like no other. She is the essence of comfort and peace. She also expects to be met with equanimity. If the person on the other side of those dirty floors refuses to do their part and share in the co-creation of high vibration, she is OUT!
Who are the partners in your life that help to bring a higher appreciation and condition of living into your environment wherever you are?
Where do you do this for others?
When I think of being in a partnership I think of being in an EMPOWERED PARTNERSHIP. A balance of two equals coming together as needed to create something very special in that moment. It’s as if the universe is requesting a symbiosis to take place because the new energy created is something greater than the two involved and a blessing for the heart of humanity.
Okay, yes, I am a highly idealistic romantic but this is a very real scenario when you are not brainwashed by Hollywood and News Media relationship propaganda. We have to learn to rework our vision of partnership for the new age we live in. This also goes beyond sexual intimacy and can be a lens for work relationships too. Maybe not the general public, but certainly those people you are intimately involved with. Think one on one no matter if sexual relations are on the table or not.
This month we tap into our Venusian energy. We bring light to all of the places in our life where we feel partnered and ask ourselves how and where we can bring more harmony to that relationship. We get real about whether or not that partnership we are in is actually uplifting us or bringing us down? We aim for pleasure!
“Salutations to the presiding spirit of the planet Venus!”
Remember to center yourself before your mantra practice. Burn some incense and light a candle. Bring the essence of your heart into the mantra and watch to see what shows up.
Venusian Libras are all about creating harmony, beauty and sweetness in their worlds. Natural peacemakers, they don’t enjoy conflict, and would rather talk it out than fight.
